ABOUT YOUR CPA
Matthew Shelly, CPA began his career as a member of the financial institutions team in the St. Louis office of CliftonLarsonAllen, providing audit, tax, and consulting services to banking clients and their owners. He then joined McGladrey's (RSM) Dallas office as a financial statement auditor. Transitioning to the "industry" side of accounting, he spent a decade in cross-functional financial reporting roles with leading asset management firms such as Oak Hill Advisors, Hillwood, Atalaya Capital Management, and Goldman Sachs.
Matthew graduated from Saint Louis University with Bachelors and Masters degrees in accounting. He maintains an active CPA license with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPA).
In addition to his work at Shelly LLC, Matthew is an accounting instructor at a local college, helping to mentor the next wave of Texas CPAs.
